Essential Oils

Essential oils are natural, very concentrated aromatic liquids, that are found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes and seeds. They form the plant's immune system, defend the plant against insects, environmental conditions and disease, and can be used for therapeutic applications. 

Incorporating aromatherapy into my everyday life was a huge step in my healing journey which had a domino effect on my life. I then began to question what was going on and in my body, and began making more conscious choices all around.

 

I was first introduced to oils when trying out DIY recipes from Pinterest, and I thought they smelled good but never really noticed major effects.  I was extremely skeptical of claims I had heard but I kept researching and learning.

Then I realized how much the quality truly matters when one of my mentors, who is a yoga teacher, was using them during the relaxation portion of her class. I truly felt a difference and eventually dipped my toe into using Young Living Essential oils by starting with their premium oils starter kit.

These are helpful tools to have in your toolbox when you are feeling stressed and nervous, and under the weather. It’s not just about the oils you are using, but then what products you no longer have to use, and toxic ingredients that you can avoid by making swaps. 

There are so many different companies that are now selling oils, and so much misinformation that it is important to have guidance, community, and support.
