50 Brooklyn Ave. Massapequa in a community space called Retreat Space. This is where I rent out space for my private business and group classes. The entrance is on the side of the building and it is across the street from the side of the fire house. You can park in the back lot, on the side of the building and depending on the time - the train station parking lot. Just make sure to check signs around you. Then come up the stairs and I will be there waiting!
-
None. It’s more about an open mind, and the willingness to give it a shot and learn. If you’re feeling really uncomfortable, unsure, or have specific conditions or injuries I do offer 1:1 support through a 4 week private beginner series.
-
No! Most people stay about 1 to 1.5 hours, but I will be there the full 2 hours to support students. This is a flexible class where you can start anytime between 10-11, but don’t need to stay the entire time slot. After you move through your practice you choose how long your savasana is, and then you’re welcome to take some extra time to meditate if you have the time. It’s a peaceful environment.
-
Not a problem. I am there to support you, and I also have handouts that you can borrow for the duration of class. Overtime with consistent practice you will start to memorize it to cultivate a moving meditation and to also practice at home.

I love Ashtanga Yoga Long Island dearly, as it was my home studio, and where I received a lot of my training from my teacher Aura - but I have built my own business and to avoid confusion I am keeping everything under the umbrella name of Lauren R. Yoga. But think of this as an Ashtanga Yoga Long Island program under that umbrella. We will see where the future takes us! I have a lot of ideas and plans, and a packed schedule, so as time goes on I will trickle things out and look forward to sharing with you here.
